Visualization & How to Save Money (budgeting)

Visualization is a very powerful tool that enables you to attain your goal.

What you focus on, you attract.

Many very successful people practised visualization. A very popular example is Jim Carrey.

Jim Carrey in his Oprah Winfrey’s interview (The Oprah Winfrey, 17 February 1997) was presented by Oprah as one of “one of our greatest teachers”.
In the interview, Jim Carrey told Oprah Winfrey that before he was successful, he used to visualize having directors interested (work interest) in him, he visualized that people that he respects like his works, he visualized that things (good things) work for him.
He also wrote a cheque for himself for $10 million for acting services rendered, which he dated for Thanksgiving 1995. He carried the cheque everyday in his wallet. And according to him, just before the date on the cheque he wrote, he got the $10 million.

At the end of the show, Oprah said, “Visualization works if you works hard.”  You must work towards it - to achieve it.

How to do the Visualization (of the future where you have achieved your goal)?

Be as detailed and as specific as possible
Who are you with? What do you feel? What are you doing? What are you achieving? Who are you with? What is the surrounding like?

Involve all your senses
Hearing, sight, touch, smell, and taste.

Involve all your all of your emotions
Happy, content, victorious, full of achievements, calm, etc.
Use positive self-talk in your visualizations
Get rid of negativities, all doubts - just be positive.

Put together a ‘dream board’
It can be a cheque that you write for yourself or a dream board of a life that you want. Just be sure you look at it daily (regularly).

How does Visualization link to How to Save Money?

Saving money is a goal.
Visualization is a powerful tool to achieve goal.

Visualization helps (as a powerful tool) to achieve your goal on saving money.

How can you visualize saving money?
  • Write it down - be as specific as possible - in the form of:
  • Imagining how your life will be when you are saving the money
  • Imagining how your life will be when you have accumulated the money, you have attained the saving goal, financial goa

Visualization, in my honest opinion, is how you crack the code (brainstorming & breaking down goals into a set of actionable tasks) to achieve what you want (eliminating all doubts and negativities in your life).
It can take many forms, for example, daily reaffirmations of mind visualization, goal setting, to do list, budgeting, etc.
It is anything that you do in order to actually achieve your goal.
